BookUp

BookUp is the Australian publishing industry’s headline conference and networking event series. The annual conference brings industry leaders together to share and discuss the latest news, trends and learnings from across the publishing sector and beyond.

Editorial development

The APA offers two regular professional development opportunities for editors.

The Residential Editorial Program (REP) is a week-long mentorship opportunity for a group of mid-career literary book editors to develop a selected manuscript.

The Beatrice Davis Editorial Fellowship (BDEF) provides a unique opportunity for a senior Australian editor to develop their knowledge and expertise through a research project, and share their findings with their peers and the wider industry.

The APA offers a range of webinars, workshops and seminars to provide members with the latest information and skills across a variety of publishing areas.

IPG Skills Hub

The IPG Skills Hub is an online training platform for those in the publishing industry wanting to work on professional development at their own pace, whenever and wherever they can. The training content is available on-demand, and is free for all APA members to access.
