Workshop - Thema: Essentials

This practical half-day course introduces Thema, the international subject category scheme, and demonstrates how Thema should be used across the global publishing supply chain.

Delegates will learn the principles and benefits behind Thema and its use, plus how to adopt it within their organisation. The course includes a practical session categorising real-world books, plus a discussion of best practices to optimise in-store and online discovery and conversion.

This comprehensive course is aimed at publishing staff in editorial, marketing, sales or IT, or those in book retail. It is suitable for delegates with no prior knowledge of subject categorisation, but also of value to those familiar with category schemes such as BIC, BISAC, or even Thema!

This course will be delivered in one half-day training session online from 09:00-13:30 (AEDT) on Tuesday 20 February.
