The Awards recognise excellence and innovation from the teams and individuals across the industry who get books into the hands of readers – from the authors and illustrators to publishers, editors, marketers and booksellers.
This is the biggest event on the publishing calendar, being celebrated in Australia’s cultural hub – you won’t want to miss out!
The 2024 Awards Ceremony
The 2024 awards will be held on the evening of Thursday 9 May at Zinc Fed Square, in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
This year we’re celebrating in style at Zinc Fed Square in Victoria's City of Literature.
Expect a gala dinner, with time for drinks, music and mingling, plus of course all the winner announcements!

In 2024 the Copyright Agency is celebrating its 50th anniversary. As a friend and supporter of the Australian Book Industry Awards, they will be hosting drinks ahead of the ceremony at Zinc Fed Square from 17:30.

The deadline for providing names and dietary information is 24 April 2024.
